Esmeri's story
Esmeri sells matcha to raise awareness for childhood cancer. Now her family needs our help.
Esmeri is a young girl who has spent the past year fighting childhood cancer. Since her treatment began, her family has practically lived at the hospital, traveling back and forth for treatments, appointments, and long stays.
Even through all of this, Esmeri runs her own matcha stand. She wears a shirt she made to bring awareness to childhood cancer, and she greets every customer with a smile. A video of her stand is how many people first heard her story.
The stress of the past year has taken a serious toll on Esmeri's mom, who ended up in a wheelchair herself. Transportation to and from the hospital has become the family's biggest expense, and with so much time devoted to Esmeri's care, they have fallen behind on rent and their bills.
When Esmeri was asked what she would wish for, she said she wants to go to Disneyland. Her family has called it a dream.
This fundraiser has two goals. The first is to help the family catch up on rent and bills and cover transportation to Esmeri's treatments, so her mom can focus on caring for her. The second, if we reach it, is to make Esmeri's Disneyland dream come true.
Every dollar goes directly to Esmeri's family, and this page will be updated with exactly how the money is being used. Thank you for reading Esmeri's story, and please share it with anyone who might be able to help.
